Sorry, just had to talk about the 400. I haven’t commuted to reserve on the 787 since 2018. That’s fairly current data.

Old contract reserve sucked in ORD, new contract it’s gone pretty senior. Anytime besides summer it’s a good time, a lot of locals pick up short calls. I think that similar across the system though.

Overblown now with the new rules…. I’ve been doing it since upgrading, it’s not terrible.

Under the old contract… That’s a different conversation

Unless you’re an LCP on a narrow body. Then you work every rsv day.

I just got off the 787 after being forced onto it two years ago in indoc, base traded to San Fran to be closer to Denver. With this newest vacancy I'm going to line holder every once and awhile to probably no lines in the foreseeable future.

My last reserve month was rough, I flew 90 hours and with the new reserve utilization instead of FIFO with short calls they would call me right after a trip to use me on the last day of reserve. They ran out of reserves multiple days and I was home a total of 12 days that month with commuting, short calls and trips. It's a far cry from landings class to landings class I had when I first got on the fleet. I'm thinking this new vacancy will allow more to be put on reserve and it might be a sweet deal again, might not. In any case, I'll switch back when I have the seniority!

Traditional reserve is still FIFO is it not?Assigning SCs is headroom ratio but If your trip ends late enough I can’t imagine them forcing you on short call the next day? And it would be an 18hour callout if you’re outside the assignment window for a pairing? What are you saying would happen to you on your last day?
