Most here probably don't recognize the lyrics...

Just as Apple's Tim Cook (or Tim Apple if you prefer) is in no way a right-wing MAGA sycophant, he's the CEO of a company responsible to shareholders for making profits. I think it's disgusting when any company offers effusive praise to get what it wants, especially how blatantly it's being done under this administration to prevent the "mean tweet" or "mean truthing" or an adverse regulatory ruling. Luckily I'm not in one of those positions and have to look myself in the mirror every morning before doing that.

Shutdowns didn’t work well for the Repubs when they were in the minority and they won’t work well for the Dems now.

That’s MY last comment on the matter.

Well that's all rainbows and unicorns then. Voters choosing their representatives based on ideas vs. the parties choosing their voters, ideas be d***ed? Wouldn't that be a breath of fresh air.

And under previous adming, going along with the narratives for ESG, virtue signal, what have so as not to rustle the ire of whom they were catering too, risking a cancel, boycott, whatever.....

To your point, simply weathervanes.....

But I agree, I would welcome that. There has to be more incentive (in our country at least) than “it’s just the right thing to do.”

There have surprisingly been some pretty impressive curative pharma in the last few years. Harvoni comes to mind.

But it was ok when it was blatantly being done under the previous administration?

Examples were given two replies before mine and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

to treat adults with Hepatitis C……as the commercial says. Not saying your are wrong……but even their marketing still uses a “treat” classification, or is it curing something else unintentionally?

It actually cures it. Something like a 95% success rate. I had a family member that got it from a blood transfusion in the 80’s. Fortunately they were asymptomatic, but it cured it nonetheless.
