Have to agree with his response to you since it looked like you were taking a jab at SK! Might want to clarify your response. Kirby is going to continue to dominate in ORD. Can’t wait to get back into JFK fully.

Wonder if we are flying IMC thru the mountains, below MOCA, and with the GPWS turned off to avoid those “nuisance warnings”.
What could possibly go wrong?

When management was at TK this fall they said their goal was 20 slots at JFK. Its mostly just for LAX/SFO to JFK which they believe will be a very high revenue segment. We are getting 7 slots in 2027 from B6 with more in 2028. We could even get the 4 slots back that we were given by the FAA in 2021, which takes us to 11 which is 5 or 6 daily slots pairs each to LAX/SFO.

I used to fly that route pre-covid in the 76 and it was always full. It seemed like the operation there was going well. I was surprised they pulled it.

Undoubtedly……but still a far less revenue in comparison of what it would be for LHR and CDG………granted it’s strictly point to point with no options to connect but seems like we’d be missing the bullseye.

There was a reason we didn't do it before. Could just be the gate or that the feed to the west coast was just more profitable.

LoL

you'll never be in JFK fully. Kirby is not that stupid. He's got his measly slots and that's about all you're going to get. We're the largest operator in the NY market and pretty much dominate it and will continue to do so. We all know about the reductions forced on EWR (we fly out there as well). So operationally when you compare our LGA-JFK-EWR operations, it's fairly expansive compared to yours just in EWR.

All this “my airline is better than yours because…” is cringey as hell.
