Some of our old America West/USAir 320s and and legacy AA 737-800a go away. The newer ones probably get kept. Our Max 8s join your 737 fleet. Network efficiencies will allow for a smaller combined fleet than both airlines currently operate, particularly on the narrow body side.

Are people on your side of the house taking this talk seriously?
As long as y'all bring a stapler to the table.

And after the synergizing.....and subsequent smaller combined fleet...is the merged AA gonna eat the furloughs? How u gonna do the merger integration... DOH......stovepipe....or staple AA to bottom since they are not ALPA and are in ch11?

What pilot at UA would even want to get in bed with all the warts on AA? I liken this to people who have a outstanding life and think to themselves..."I need more, more, more" so they add a girlfriend on the side. Can you spell Tiger Woods?

Relax. Nobody here has any control over the decisions you cite. Federal law (McCaskill-Bond) would govern the SLI process in a AA/UA merger, and who we wish to bed won’t matter to ivory tower dwellers. We don’t need to look down our noses at fellow pilots. I’m not sure how long you’ve been at United, but there was a time when we were hardly the envy of the industry. Circling the drain, we were.

I don’t think he/she/it is at United. More like a 70-something Delta retiree.

I just put my earbuds in noise canceling mode, put my shades on and go to sleep right when I get seated.

Not sure what “toned” means, but fit, height weight proportions check and I don’t have a bunch of fat on my body, I don’t do the gym but spend a boat load of time outdoors and working on projects, also don’t eat crap food, just as any self respecting man

Kirby desperately wanted to be AA ceo not too long ago. It’s a viable business, just in incompetent hands at the moment.

No one at United would want to merge with B6, nor can we see how it would be financially beneficial.

Agree its only downside from a pilot perspective considering the profit sharing hit as well as the seniority integration, even with a fence, especially for anyone hired after 2020. Fortunately in 5 years I'll be gone and I won't have to deal with it, but anyone with less than 6 years longevity (9,000 pilots) would have a rude awakening.

Why does it have to be that way? More pilots at the aquiring company getting the short end of the stick than there are total pilots at the aquired company. Make it make sense
