I understand where your coming from, but as a 73 Capt aren't you worried about getting kicked back to the right seat?

You guys are reading way too far into this. Let me just say that "THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO WAY SCOPE WILL BE RELAXED FOR THE MERGER..." Most of these issues were resolved well before the merger was announced. CAL is recalling only to furlough again? No, only UAL does that. Everyone can relax. Believe it or not, the JCBA will be complete by the fall with no scope relaxation and a pay scale everyone will be happy with. UAL furloughees will be recalled to the CAL side of the system. This has been the plan for a while. Believe it!

Not really. They do employ colgan. 70-80 seaters for 50 cents an hour. But since it's a prop it doesn't matter.

I really hope that ALL of the CAL and UAL pilots understand the importance of the golden nugget that you have with scope. If you relax it, you'll NEVER get it back! Good luck, and help the industry by keeping scope.

I sure am and job protection is a top priority. I was only pointing out that everone is looking at the big picture from a slightly different angle.

I hope you are correct but I'm not so sure about a fall JCBA.

I agree. It would have to be a sizable payout or a much bigger pay increase than the 25% that's currently on the table to give up scope, but I don't believe it ever came up. I think UAL guys would agree too. But once again, I don't believe it was ever seriously considered

If we give in on scope the "bottom third" risk becoming the highest paid unemployed pilots in the industry. Good luck trying UACO Mgt, I`m not buying.

That short sighted greedy MORON needs his eye's ripped out of his skull and then I'd like to......

In any case, you get the point.
