I take it you've never spent a month in Houston in the summer.

What? You want to work on work days and stay home on off days? You want paid to work? What a concept.

The way it is now ****es me off to no end. I can't believe "we" allowed it to happen in the first place. (I didn't vote "yes", by the way.)

What amazes me is that our union "negotiates" stuff away for us, and then wonders why we are so ticked at what is happening. Remember the first class crew seats they negotiated away? Hell, every Tom, Dick and Harry gets UPGRADED, while we sit in coach (and you KNOW they aren't making any money off the upgrades.......far from it), and then they want us to put stickers on our bags to "protest" what our union DID TO US. Incredible! Sometimes you really have to wonder who is negotiating for us! Personally, I'm tired of having three and four leg days with sits between each leg, coupled with crew/aircraft swaps on each one, yet we get paid ZIPPO for all the extra work. And some wonder why I don't want to do this till I'm 65????

I don't think anyone is ignoring you, we just don't want to help anyone slide into management to screw us any more............JMHO

The training center jobs are all IAH. I did my checkride last week and the word is that we will keep both and the IAH training center will get bigger.

On this wonderful new career opportunities site CAL pilots were told they could find management positions open for the new company. I found it surprising considering that "management" was supposed to take the cuts in this merger so I was curious to what positions were being offered (NO, I am not remotely considering, interested or want to have anything to do with these openings). So for information purposes this is what shows up as available for Flight Ops:

Managing Director - System Chief Pilot - Chicago, IL

Managing Director - Flight Training - Denver, CO

Managing Director - Flight Standards - Denver, CO

Managing Director - Flight Operations Crew Resources - Chicago, IL

Managing Director - Flight Operations - Chicago, IL

EWR,

Thanks for the the non-jackwagon response. This is the same info that is on the UA side of the site. Was just wondering if they had posted different ones on the CO side. i.e. IAH?

Apparently not.....or not yet.

Regards

Are any of the 'jobs' you refer to posted as vacant?

I have no interest in any of these positions. I'm just trying to get an idea of what the future may hold WRT training, etc.
