Scope buster bagtags!
Is it true, that some CAL pilots have denied the jumpseat to Skywest pilots, that have the Scope buster bagtags?

Anyone that expects the hand that foolishly fed them to be happy about being bitten is stupid and/or ignorant. How the jobs at skywest or airline x came about have no merit in the discussion. They (UAL/CAL pilots) are trying to take back the jobs they foolishly allowed to go to express carriers after what they found out led to the overall degradation of their airline and job security. Again, that job isn't yours, it is currently outsourced. If such bag stickers exist, it reminds me of the E170 "guppy killer" tags that showed up after PW's single sided move to save his pension. Guys/gals at the 170 carriers had problems understanding the issue some had with those as well. I think the 1400 or so furloughs at UAL that didn't volunteer might fall into that group after UAL parked the guppy fleet. The UAL folks also took issue with outsourced airlines providing their crews with look alike round orange UAL bag tags saying "UAL CREW" to their employees as they are neither UAL employees nor crewmembers. Please, if those stickers/tags exist, don't put one on your bag. If you jumpseat, thank the crew for the ride. Perhaps even thank them for your job. And don't begrudge them taking back their flying if they can. There, is that enough perspective? Frats, Lee |

The reality that exists today is what it is. Any pilot that has the balls to walk in with that kind of a sticker on their bag better be ready to receive the type of reception they deserve. Of course, I'm in no position to verify that such stickers exist. Just replying to the question which may very well be flame bait. However, the other 2 examples are true in my previous reply. I well remember the guppy killer stickers. No one with that sticker is going to be riding on the jump seat if I'm on board.

Anybody with a sticker/tag like that deserves a lot more then a deined jumpseat. |
