You do realize our paycuts were endorsed by ALPA and voted in by a majority of the pilot group. So when you want to blame someone for your woes you can look in the middle of your tie.

How low am I willing to go? Not my choice. You better ask ALPA.

If Smisek's henchmen comes to the table asking for 15% more of your hard earned dollars (and they probably are), will you quit if the union gave it to them?? I'll ask it a different way. How much lower will you go before you quit??

It's not about wanting or not wanting the paychecks and as a furloughee, I don't need you to speak on my behalf. This profession is at anchor and collecting moss because of "take it or leave it" attitudes like yours. Maybe people should instead take a hike because they've become impediments to progress...

You deflecting the question with your mumbojumbo. I don't want to know how low you will go but rather to what point Lambourne WILL quit. It is your choice to take or leave it... No one's holding a big M16 nozzle at your jaw.

Not your choice??

Last time I checked, if your in "good standing", you have something called a "choice" via a thing known as a "VOTE". It 'maybe' only "1 of 12,000" in the total tally when (J)CBA is handed down via our MEC's.....BUT again, you DO have a choice. Let's not confuse that with being apathetic on the topic.

BTW.....When the time comes.....Mine will be screen-saved, printed, laminated, and hanging on my roller-board if there's any question on my choice/voting.

I voted NO on all of the paycuts and one of the TA's. As it stands ALPA ENDORSED ALL of them and the membership approved all except one that was sent back.

ALPA has sucked the life out of our pilot group. They wait with baited breath for them to reveal something. It is presented and guys can't vote fast enough. During the BK if we had better leaders at ALPA we might have not allowed some of the huge concessions we took for wages, work rules and scope. But instead ALPA is a flame to the moths of self importance and those needing an ego boost.

If anyone tuned into our MEC Chair and puppet chat last night it was quite amusing!

Take it one step further. They represent both major carriers and UAX and COEX airlines that in one form or another, compete against us and lower the bar in all areas of compensation/benefits. The argument that the pliots at those airlines did this to themselves has credence but if your choices are being decided by an entity that stands to gain no matter how much either side loses, you can either change the union with a new one or accept the situation and move on.

A house divided against itself cannot stand................

I couldn't vote this time, and I can't vote now. I am just tired of feeling like a poker chip in contract negotiations.

Trivia question for you, Lambourne. Who was the first pilot group to vote in massive concessions, post 9/11?

Hint: It wasn't an ALPA carrier.

"Who voted for that milking the pilots 11.8% pay reduction after we lost the A plan? We lack leadership and we are mere sheep marching in step towards the cliff and nobody wants to say that the emperor has no clothes! Well guess what, the emporer is naked and we all are as well....freezing our butts off as the senior among us are wearing our coats on top of theirs, living in our homes, raping our spouses, enslaving our children, consuming our bank accounts and staying until they are 65."

We need to furlough the top 1500 UAL pilots and replace them the 1500 furloughed pilots.
