New UAL "Flight Plan"?
#11
I really doubt a UAL Furloughee is going to take a CAL recall and then switch over to UAL.....WHY? You get your old payrate when you got the AX from UAL...so if you take the CAL recall you will be flying a BOEING and not a damn Airbus as a LCC slave--Pay would be the same.
I am waiting to take the CAL recall.....and I have ZERO intention of going through school TWICE ...."just to screw management"
I'm a 99' UAL Furloughee---Twice!

Sonny , the way i read the ta is that u lose ur payrate three months i to 2012- thats right- u revert bAck to first year cal or ual pay- please reread it.
We all know mgmnt will let the date come and go and get a deal struck with the unions that if a ual guy accepts cal he will forgo going back to ual to eliminate any increase training cost. I totally see that coming.
If cal were allowed to hire off the street while ual peeps stayed furloughed- their would be a pretty large battle cry
We all need to just quit speculating and just wait for tk to ramp up- then we can start speculating on numbers.
Flight plan is supposed to come out soon/ if not already as per the ssc report

Sonny I appreciate your situation and yours in unique. You want to be in Houston and old United can't do that for you. For the rest of us, you are a new hire at Continental except that you retain your United pay and you get insurance. Beyond that you are a new hire and after the TA expires, all bets are off. At United you would be a 12 year employee, getting your benefits and pay raises etc based on that. Unless you live in Houston or Guam, it is a no brainer.

Don't raise the battle cry if you aren't going to take the positions being offered to you.

----My point is I DOUBT anyone will take the CAL offer and then quickly return to UAL "Just to screw the company"
If I get recalled to UAL....I am on the bottom
If I get recalled to CAL....I am on the bottom
What's the difference?
I live in IAH...thus I would actually take the CAL offer..however I do have a home in Miami and commute again to either UAL or CAL.
