I'd like to leave sooner. But as of now many will stay to make up for the last (lost) or at least stagnated. 5 years.

Although not sure 42 counts as "younger pilot" FA? Absolutely ; )

Yeah. Yeah. Would be nice to have gotten the extra five in the Left of a 777. As it is, us right seaters will end up with the same amount of years in the left as we would have with age 60.....but only if we hang around till 65. It was like a 5 year seat freeze. I know you can't/won't understand that, but it's the absolute truth. Carry on in your own little world, and enjoy that new contract! :cool:

I did see a graph today that had retirements out to 2039, basically no one will be here who is currently on the property at UAL/CAL. So you could say 100% of the list retires by 2039.
It seems unlikely to me that there are no pilots at either UAL or CAL under 38 years old today. Can someone confirm that?

edit: Nevermind, I saw that there was a correction later in the thread.

Hey genius, I voted against the new contract, I won't have an extra five. As far as the contract I bet it was cirried by the other end of the list. I do understand it and sometime open your closed eyes and realize many people at all levels have paid different prices or don't you understand that?

So carry on in your own little world.

Well, I'm pretty sure I know when I was born (1980) and we have people here that were born in 1982 and 1983. Any CAL guy will verify that. And to add to that- some of them are 737 CA on this bid. Not sure which system chief you spoke with, but they hardly ever dazzle me with their "facts."

And SLI to them means nothing because no matter where they are on the list they will spend numerous years with 1 of 2 digit seniority.

Everyone on the UAL side is Old. Super Old. My last PC when I went in the classroom for the evac training I though I had stepped into a meeting of the UAL retired pilots association.

I'm an 07' hire and I was born in 1982 and I know for a fact that the 8 ball in the class ahead of me was born in 1982. Anybody with access to the master seniority list on the flight ops website can download it and then use the search function in acrobat to find the birth years they are looking for.
