Thumbs up 2012 Delta + 1

Question on the Delta + 1 proposal. Jan 2012, Delta has an automatic pay rate increase, anyone know how much? Also, their contract opens up again in 2012, I would assume work rules for the most part are settled, but what are the pay expectations/realities going into the negotiations? Solid UCAL work rules with post 2012 Delta + 1 new pay scale does not seem to bad of a position to be in.

Delta plus anything is an insult. How about we allow our negotiators to negotiate UCAL + what we are worth. There lies your answer.

I don't think UAL management has a true understanding of the anger of the average line pilot.

No kidding. Come on guys.... Notice all those Blue and Red clown cars rolling around with copilots making the same as DL captains? Southwest +1 and appropriate increases for the larger aircraft should be the minimum.

Copy all, look forward to the 40% pay raise with solid work rules and scope protections. Just a question I had on the way forward for Delta pay increases. Time value of money, truely a grind when you are still on 2003 bankruptcy wages.

Just to answer further, it is a 4% hourly rate increase in Jan 2012. Work rules and scope need some very serious work. It will not be a rubber stamp over a weekend contract negotiations.

Pilots at Delta are pulling for "restoration", not to be confused with a raise.

With restoration referring to Delta's contract 2000, we have a l o n g way to go.

You know, as ALPA's President Prater said, "we're taking it back", ...(crickets)...we'll see.

Donuts are getting real popular at Delta /:

Exactly. Back in the day(late 90's) management always wanted to negotiate wages in comparison to SWA. Well, now is their chance.

Ask for C2K + inflation adjustment, and be happy when you get SWA + 1 for the 737. If you ask for SWA+1 out the gate, you won't get it.

If you are one of the anointed who has kissed His ring and been on inner circle full time flight pay loss gravy train for the last 5 years you have already been enjoying restoration.
