The Ipads are in. Starting Monday stop by your chief pilot's office to get it.

What I cannot believe is that the iPad is an issue at all especially in comparison to EVERYTHING ELSE that is on our table. The contract and the integration of the airlines and seniority lists are what is important. The people upset about the IPad reminds me of the old school UAL guys demanding a control yoke in the 777 instead of a sidestick.

Yeah...except that you didn't have to take the sidestick home with you and you weren't responsible for it. I won't even get into the tracking issues on layovers. Aren't you tired of doing extra things and having extra responsibilities without a contract? I sure am.

UAL Heavy you are shouting by writing in bold.

Now explain to us all how turning down the IPad will get a contract any faster? Is there some sort of economic penalty your are laying on the Company by saying "NO" to the IPad?

Arguments and discussions about its use, location safety , responsibility if lost or broken and training are all valid, but how will getting a contract will fix these things???

I suppose you probably also feel being an FFDO without pay and going to training on the pilot's dime is wrong. So pilots should say "NO" to defending the cockpit unless they are trained and provided the tools at either the Company's cost or the TSA's. And forget the responsibility of carrying and IPad, just think about what an FFDO is responsible for on layovers. Shades of horrors!

Dude your bullying attitude just gets the playground all wound up and does nothing to make the teacher present math any better. All it gets us is an "F."

"Shouting" is defined as writing in all capital letters. Look it up. I use bold because I like it that way, plain and simple. You are one of the few that just doesn't seem to get the big picture.

HVY:

Truthfully I am one of the many who "gets the big picture" about contracts and such. You are one of the "few" who just seem to bully others to achieve your goals.

And ALL CAPS is shouting as well as your "bold" html typing on a blog.

"Intent is intent. Caps means yelling and making things bigger, bolder and in red type would indicate a strong comment or trying to make a point. Yes, adding formatting when used selectively can certainly add to the impression one is yelling or upset. If you ask anyone to read out loud and e-mail with such formatting, they will almost always raise their voice when reading larger, bolder, red text."

Maybe you shouldn't take it to Shotguns on a layover if you don't want anyone to know you were there? Shouldn't you worry more about the chip that is in your NEW employee ID card. Where ever you are they know......
