Lately we have seen some really motivational advertising from Delta, some classy stuff paying homage to the employees of this great airline.
Perhaps I am seeing this for the first time, but British Airways has put out what has to be the coolest damn ad for flying airplanes I have seen in God knows how long.
You can find it on You Tube. Search for British Airways. To Fly. To Serve.
Now folks, I am a talented discounter of the feel good fluffy stuff marketing firms can put out about airlines. I know airlines have huge budgets and these ad firms have some really smart people...but I'm relenting to their voodoo for once...and really enjoying it!
For one who saw the Concorde pummel the earth with thundering arrogance, leaving all pilots wondrous in it's wake, I have to say this is one damn cool ad...no to mention the venerable history of one of the world's great airlines.
But do we not belong to one of the world's great airlines....United? Have our brothers and sisters before us not forged history in the same fashion as we have seen from our honorable British compatriots across a war torn ocean?
United may not have had a sleek bullet that flashed afterburners like an enraged angel but I wonder when we will see such recognition, albeit as fanciful and capricious as the the BA ad was.
I wonder...
