Doing a DEN IAD turn on the bus at FL 250/260 will burn an extra 6k lbs of fuel more round trip. That is almost $2000 dollars. That is more than what they are paying us to fly the plane. Hope it is worth it.. The view is much better down there anyway.

Want to reduce fuel burn? Negotiate our contract and quit stalling.

Maybe that's the real reason Stankovich retired: couldn't stand the C-2 heat!
I thought the 70+ crowd was always cold and always wanted the heat turn up.

Always thought Y2K stood for "why 2000lb?"
I mean, who's counting among friends?

Very perceptive. It was a reference to both the summer festivities that year and extra fuel load.

I am not actually advocating anything that would get anyone in trouble. I would never do anything like that. For the record.
