Bad thing will be "no paid moves" because of another side deal to get around pilots ratifcation from our MEC's. These guys are getting as bad as management.

Bid is out and no reduction in the number of 737 pilots in any current 737 base. Only additions to GUM, LAX, and creation of ORD and DEN 737 bases.

With the creation of a ORD and DEN 737 base people have to come from somewhere. Only places I can think of are EWR and IAH.

It probably needs repeating again...there are no reductions in any base...that means hiring.

Probably both. In as much as it's going to brutal summer for us on reserve; unfortunately worse for the L-CAL folks, this IS a good thing. No Shrinkage (sic)

Not trying to fan any flames, but the block hour ratios have to remain the same and most of these bids will come from EWR,IAH pilots and no backfiling. The company just got you to pay for your own move and that's all. Sorry, Ask Jay.

If LCAL is hiring off the street with LUAL guys still on furlough, how do you think that is going to go over?

Hoss, if the LUAL guys bypassed, why would it be an issue?

What's L-CAL's Captain "V" supposed to do????

IF L-CAL goes ALL the way through the L-UA Furlough List offering positions to the entire roster ("takers" and "bypassers") per the guidelines.....IF seats still need to be filled per staffing, and there's NO more 'takers' from L-UA, you can fully expect them (Abbott) to hire off the street. Questions?

Stating the obvious.....No one is holding a gun to anyone's head as far as accepting/declining the L-CAL Pilot Position. The L-CAL employment offers have NO bearing on the Furloughee's status at L-UA. Their choice to take it, or leave it as far as the L-CAL employment offer.
