They seemed to have a little manpower planning issue yesterday flt492 sfo-stl. Couldn't find a legal crew to do it. Flight cancelled.

Thanks to the pilots who stood together on that one.
It's easy to see what our lcal/lual unity can do when called upon.
Notice the lack of ALPA or union ref., it's up to each lcal/lual pilot,
individually, to do the right thing and stand together, now.

Except for yesterday, it's normally once a day. I believe the pilots were correct in not doing the trip. The company did a horrible job of keeping the pax informed.

I agree. I think this summer is already a lost cause beginning at the end of june and peaking the end of aug.
If they were smart, theyd train 25/ month now to assist when others from cal possibly go to ual. Cant wait for that training CF!

Parking 757s doesn't solve the manpower issue. It might prolong recalling pilots but it will increase training in addition to the Shiite load of training coming to cover retirements.
