is still critical to ensure alignment of the group to maximize its bargaining position.
You can bet that if doctors, lawyers and yes, management executives
had to go back to first year grad. school pay when leaving their current employer,
because the employers were in collusion to force it to happen profession wide,
there would be significant lawsuits and battles over changing the behavior.
But here we are, with some still confused that this is a collective process in our profession.
The JRM people are a sad example.
The fact that some brag openly about it is disgusting, besides being detrimental to the unity and force of the pilot group.

I care what the 1% make. Is Jeff worth 13 million for one year? The fact we don't have a contract is Jeff et.al. fault not alpas. The 1% own 47% of the wealth in this country. This is by design. The 1% have double downed their attack on labor the last ten years. More $ for them means less $ for us labor. What is amazing is how many labors sympathies with the 1%.

I'm a captain at l-cal 14 years. A flight attendent at 14 years longevity can make .5 to .7 of what I make. What makes Jeff et.al worth so much more then our pilot's or FA? I don't make 70 plus times our FA salary . So tell me why ceo's should make 70 times more than captain pay. I have a four year degree, 6 type ratings, and 16000 hours of flight time like a lot of our pilots do. What's that worth?
As long as your focus is on Jeff and others at this company who get the compensation they think they deserve, you will never get the compensation you deserve.
