And with the frequency of departures, neither will any of the others.

You missed the point, albiet ASE was a sarcastic/facetious example

I also agree with all the damn chatter of "AC 5560, AC5578, AC5588" they should be all UNITED callsigns flown by UNITED pilots. ......period.
I don't recall any "A C" (sic) pilots holding a gun to your head to force you to sign the scope clause in YOUR contract. Most of us are just trying to do our jobs and bide our time so we can get out of the regional hellhole and finally make a career out of this job. Most of us keep hoping the you guys will hold the line on scope (although with the new Delta contract, I'm not holding my breath). We're rooting for you to bring the large RJ flying (or ANY RJ flying) back in house, so we can get out of here.

But keep up with the comments. It's ok. I'll still keep doing my job, flying where your company tells me to. And I'll continue to be professional and welcome you guys onto my jumpseat. Maybe you guys will do the same some day.

Hey EMB,

You have got to understand the position there. You are flying OUR flying, you are correct, we do have a scope that allows it. What you DONT know, is that we never got to vote for the relaxed scope. A MEC Chairman in the dark of night named PW, and whos name will forever hang in the house of shame, signed over 50% of our "domestic" flying, or so he thought, United interpreted it to be 50% of total block hours....

Hence the frustration on our side. Its not you per se, its what you represent to the mainline. Lower scale pay, less work rules, less training, less education required, a complete drag to the bottom of our profession, etc etc that we had fought for decades to get, and then lose in bankruptcy. It sucks.

The majors demand a 4 year education, the regionals do not. The majors demand an ATP, the regionals do not. The majors demand a clean criminal record, the regionals do not. And so on, and so on......You represent UAL to the public........nuff said.

Yep, we all know about that one.

But how did YOU vote on your mid-term ESOP that first allowed jets in UAX colors exclusive of the AWAC BAC146? Also, how did you vote on contract 2000? Were you one of those that said "wow!!!! look at those pay rates!!!! I won't even bother looking at the scope section"

Agree with all your points. If there was to be data collected, you think EVERY pilot at UAL has a clean criminal record? Just curious. By the time you throw in things like DUI's, or anything else stupid a pilot at (insert legacy here) can do after they get hired and still keep their job.

You also have to understand who XJT is (You may, many L-UAL still don't know). Many of our employees were hired by Continental, many FA's actually flew for CAL and then were given financial incentive to transfer to the "division" then-known as Continental Express, and spun off into ExpressJet without the ability to come back. Nearly all of our pre-merger management came from Continental. A large portion of our pilot group started out with paychecks that said "Continental Airlines," and were somewhat close over a decade ago to being on ONE LIST with CAL. I and most of the guys I fly with support your fight for Scope.

We are not the droids you are looking for.

Emb,

I havent voted yes in years. As far a a clean record, they DID have a clean record when they got hired, and a four year education.

Listen, this is a bad deal for everyone we arent going to fix this today nor here. Heck man, I flew for the commuters, but I flew commuter flying. Everyone has to start somewhere, I wasnt born with an ATP, I just know the current situation isnt going to cut it. You guys could stand up for better working conditions, schedules, some retirement, crew lounges, etc. That alone would start to turn the tables. This is what mgt sees. Hardly any work rules, no QWL in the contracts, zero retirement, cheap training. The RJ's are a Lorenzo wet dream! Change it on your side, stop waiting for us to do it for you....

Best,

J
