Good bye ALPA

Anyone know what the procedure is to resign one's membership in ALPA?
I've been making excuses like a battered woman for over a decade now:
It's not their fault.
They have no control.
They won't do it again.
They're sorry.
They promise to make things right.
It's actually my fault for getting hired when I did.
I'm finished.

If I ever return to the cockpit of a UAL jet, I won't wear my ALPA pin. I've been done with them for a long time. For the last 14 to 16 months of my second tenure at UAL, I never wore my tie and wings. Just wore my FO shoulder boards.

Why do you say "they", when it's really "you?"
What have you done to make things better?
A union is only as good as it's membership and the volunteers who chip in to get the job done. If you don't like the results, chip in and make a positive contribution.

One of my favorite lines of bs I hear from our "volunteers" over the years. Give it a rest,

They would love nothing more than for you all to disintegrate and negotiate with pilots one on one. Look at the rates of the lowest paying carriers, union and non union, Figure 75% of the lowest. Take it or leave it. Yep, you'd love being an independent contractor!

This sediment is music to management's ears.

There is not much strength in numbers here from what I have seen over the years and so far yes our manangement has enjoyed it.
