If this sh!t TA passes, we will live with it for close to ten years! I've heard this "next time" crap too many times before. Now is the time to stand up for yourself and for the profession; don't live in fear!

If I were Prater, I'd crawl back into my hole. He has done nothing for any part of UAL. In fact, if he's hawking a "Yes" vote, he may cause a backlash and the turning down of the TA....

The only thing missing from the massive sell job this time is the BS postcards from C02 telling us to vote yes. Some serious Stockholm syndrome going on behind closed doors.

They're at the printers, going to be sent out next week to the undecided. They're also setting up the Fear Factor Phone banks.

U bet. Road show attended.

Sort of embarassing what we are leaving on the table. Felt like the negotiators were representing management when they give their take on things. Sounded like a re-hash of Tom Stivala. Speaking of Tom, did you read the Tom Howard special carve out for instructors with no medical certificate? I wonder what that cost the pilots??

Another carve out for Rena who, is, I believe 68 years old.

The post cards and DVD's are on the way.

More doom and gloom from Pierce.........Talk about Bull....

He can't tell us what would happen if we vote no, other than, we would go back to the table and continue to negotiate. His doom and gloom stuff seems over the top. Why bother voting? If ALPA had pre-ordained that we take the TA, then why bother??? Seriously....Why bother at all.

If we gotta vote yes, and the gun is to our head, how is any different that being forced to take the last concessionary contract. We were told doom and gloom there too. Just a different flavor, but you still got the message.

Funny.........Management isn't spreading the doom and gloom...IT's our OWN UNION.!!! what a joke.

I pay 4K a year for a bunch of cry babies to tell me this is the best they can do.

Linda Puchala told a different MEC that the NMB resources are limited. They have a handful of mediators, of which most are booked for the next year. If the TA is turned down, get in the back of the line and expect her help in about 18 months... do not ignore the advice of professionals.
So, we wait 18 months? That's a short period of time considering that this is actually the contract of our careers. This sets us up for the next 30 years, an entire generation. We won't get another cba for 10 years, so if Linda, Jay, and jay 2, and anyone else wants to scare us big deal.

They are professionals, but so am I. I am a Professional who does not want to sell my self, or my profession short. 18 months will go by pretty quickly.

BUT..........Here's the deal....More professionals if you seek them out will tell you the real pressure is on management to make a deal, not the pilots.

TRUE, and Prater did tell me this privately. Management needs labor stability for Wall Street. They need to give Wall Street some "feel good" that all is well at the World's Leading airline and labor stability can only be guaranteed with contract in place for their highest paid group and the group most directly responsible for the performance of the company.

Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the summer time can be positive or negative travel experiences, and those experiences correlate directly to the happiness and contentness of your pilots.

Managment needs to give Wall Street some Love and that love can only come from contracts in place.

So, Linda thinks it is fine to have 900 mile 90 seat *capable RJ's?

Linda actually told you that all will be well and she personally guarantees that this CBA is both great for our profession and our careers?

Linda sounds tired to me. Time for her replacement to be named.

I just heard facts at the show...but I hadn't made my mind up before the TA was even released and didn't only hear what I wanted to here.

Ok, why don't you stand up at the next roadshow and tell the JNC how they should get the NMB and mgmt to agree to ur demands. If u have a plan I am for it. So much chest beating behind the scenes and then when face to face with some folks working for us that are way smarter than most...it is not so much. FYI, UALMEC tried the strike route already this summer.
