Nope. They aren't replacements.

It'll be banded with the 400 though.

You must have an advanced copy of the seniority list since you know where everybody stands, or are u just talking out your a$$?

Since ual is jumping up and down, filing grievances saying cals bid is illegal, shouldn't they stop with their own bids since this is how the feel??

The grievance has nothing to do with whether vacancies are offered. It has everything to do with how the contract spells out the procedure, which may not have been followed for LCO. This round of LUAL bids are a result of reallocation of ORD 747 flying to SFO, and follows the contractual procedure in the new and old UAL contract.

So, grievance would be doubtful for the reasons in the CO grievance. Maybe for other reasons, but not those. We really need the ISL done.

Enforce the contract, insist on it.

Thor are you really wound that tight? Were you not breast fed as a child? Go see a proctologist have him remove that bug up your cavity and CHILAX....

The reason we are having these 747 bids is due to a SURPLUS, People are getting bumped out of their seats, lives are being disrupted ETC . So by that logic if you want in on this bid you have to have a SURPLUS in one of your crew bases first.

Capishhh?

From the UA 2009 annual report:

In December 2009, the Company announced its intention to place an aircraft order for 25 Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft and 25 Airbus A350 XWB aircraft, with future purchase rights for an additional 50 planes of each aircraft type. The 25 Boeing aircraft and 25 Airbus aircraft are to replace the Company’s international Boeing 747s and 767s.

You don't see them offering the seats to the Cal guys? Nope not one bit. The UAL guys file a grievance because of fairness but yet lack any attempt to be fair themselves.I say again, look at your bid is there any offer to the cal guys? Zero Case closed

That would be physically impossible. From what I've read on this forum, the 767-300 is a narrowbody and the 787 is a widebody.

Wadr, do you believe the sUAL grievance is more about fairness or forcing the company to abide by the contract?
