Thanks for the responses guys. You are absolutely right, obviously following the directions makes sense. I just need to tone down the nerves a little bit. The call came totally out of the blue and I just want to make sure all my ducks are in a row. I recognize this could be my one chance and really don't want to blow it :) I'm attending an Emerald Coast seminar in a few days and I'm waiting to hear back from FTI for the sim prep. I'm hoping to get in during the next two weeks!

Has anyone completed the Emerald Coast online seminar? Is it as good as traveling to the seminar locations? Don't have a lot of time...

The online version is more or less a crash course for those that didn't start preparing earlier (not to sound harsh). You get much more out of it doing it in person. Both are invaluable, if you're in a time crunch you'll still get a lot out of it, although Albie is a pilot for FedEx and if you call him last minute he may not have the availability.

Aerocrew solutions also does a fantastic prep over the phone if you're in a pinch.

Recommend Flight Training International in Denver for sim prep.

Calls are going out! A friend of mine just got called today. Hopefully this is just the start of many interviews to come. Good luck all...

Get the medical and put it on a credit card if need be. Let's not turn this into the FDX FE written debacle that wouldn't go away. Good Luck in your career.

After the Hogan is taken, how long can one expect to wait until called? In other words, how do you know if you failed the test?

flyingnm1 09-04-2013 03:03 PM

I got the call the next day.

flyingnm1 09-04-2013 03:05 PM

I've heard of some guys getting the call within the hour, but this week is a holiday week, so that might delay things a bit.

I also got the call the day after I completed it. You have 7 days from the time you receive the email to complete the test. But like most people, I did it right away.
