Pretty dang funny...
Unfortunately it's not up to ALPA, it's up to a panel of three arbitrators.
Maybe: "once again pilots fail to recognize it's not up to ALPA to decide which side was right"

You bring up an excellent point that will never change in the history of pilots and the world...it is always ALPA's fault (at least, something or someone other than themselves).

Twas the night before SLI and all through the house,
not a pilot was stirring, not even their spouse.
All their futures were strung up by both proposal lists,
How could the other side think that? I’m really, really pi**ed!
All at once by their computers, the message boards erupt and they clamored.
quick, one poster says, there’s been a leak, we’ve been screwed and we’ve been hammered!
NO! NO! someone says, it’s just more bad info from Swindells and Ringel.
then calm again returns with a text and a jingle.
Should have known, someone says, from the crew room hall.
Now dash away, dash away, dash away all!
Then all the sudden, CCS messages appear,
don’t panic, don’t fret, none of us should fear!
So off to their redeyes, many pilots took flight,
while all the senior papas bed down for the night.
The next morning they arise to discover their fate,
only to see a memo stating ISL will be late!
Lawsuits, lawsuits, lawsuits abound!
NO NO! They all cry, it’s enough to put me underground.
And so the years go on and on, with endless legal fights,
as ALPA once again FAILS, to do what is right!
