Default Magically-disappearing seniority

Help me figure out how:

1. All the captains I've flown with have moved up 400 #'s from what their ISL position shows versus their PBS seniority. You can easily verify this by looking at the ISL and the System Staffing report on CCS.

2. As an F/O [read that...junior to all those Captains mentioned above] I have only gone up approx 200 #'s. How is that even possible that they could move up 400 and I only go up 200 when they are above me?

3. EWR756FO's currently have approx 545 pilots (per PBS) yet the new Vacancy bid shows (and also the snapshots) only 438 pilots, which they claim is a net increase of 20 vacancies?? Seems like a reduction of 107 pilots to me, or do we have that many on COLA, Leaves, Mil, etc.??

Sorry to ramble, I just need someone more well-versed than me to answer this.
