Well, I didn't mean for this to turn into yet another seniority/SLI argument thread.
Just wanted to get opinions on how some felt about how now EWR based 756 pilots will have to cover all three airports, and if it had any influence on whether to do BAT or not...

I don't spend much time on this forum, but the CAL whining about "super seniority" in this thread got me out of the wood work. I was hired at UAL in 1996. I was integrated with CAL 1998 hires. Tell me again how I got super seniority? These pilots are mostly younger and all were hired after me and will now be senior to me for the rest of my career. Yet, I'm not whining about how CAL screwed us. We ALL got screwed in our own special way, that's what makes this SLI even remotely fair. Get over it.

Listen man, you're going to say what you're going to say, and we'll say what we're going to say, but if you even remotely think that this SLI thing was argued and won on solid arguments and merits you're off you're rocker. This was about ALPA from the get go and just be thankful you worked for the airline with the larger pilot group. Had you not ALPA would have screwed you over with the same vigor as the CAL side got screwed.

Having said that, those same guys hired on in 98 you are complaining about were able to hold 756 CA, what position were you holding the day before the SLI award?

This was the most egregious SLI "award" in the history of the airlines and you know it and I know it. As for the get over it comment....easy for the windfall side to say huh? I'll do what I believe is the right thing to do....not what you believe.

As a cal guy the isl was better then I thought it would be but that is just me at my position.

Consider yourself "lucky". There are UAL 97 hires with CAL 2005 hires senior to them.
Again, this is not a SLI thread. Wolfman, what can I say... follow Shreks advice. If you feel you were that bent over, join the lawsuit, work a bunch of OT and contribute that extra cash to the fund...

I replied with my thoughts about the BAT but I also contributed a little background as to why I believe it to be what it is. If you find that intolerable then I suggest you don't read my posts.

Again, regarding all you're well meant comments about how I should "get over it" and "join the lawsuit", you might find this difficult to believe with your background as a legacy United, but I'll do what I believe is best for me and my family, not what a United pilot thinks I should do.

Of all the CAL pilots I've spoken with since this whole debacle, you are only about the 2nd or 3rd pilot out of 4200 to state this opinion.

Glad you think it worked out okay for you, but I hope you realize you are in the extreme minority opinion as a former CAL pilot.

Like I said, this place, for more reasons than one, will suck for years if not decades.

If we're lucky. If not it will be BK, shrinkage, 8000 active pilots, and then split between DAL and the new AA.

Doesn't sound too bad...
