I'll be on reserve, but with luck it will be of the long call variety. I make a special bourbon based slush each year and I'd really like to be able to enjoy it on the official day. It starts with two 1.75 litre bottles of Henry in a two gallon container. If you like bourbon, its a nice bracer! And if you like turkey, you better tipple lightly till later in the day or else you'll miss the main event.

Who's beating the Cowboys this year?

20 out of 7,400 pilots is not "falling all over themselves"

Plus now that the CAL side demanded that the 757 pay the same as a guppy didn't help things now either did it.

Unintended consequences.

Nope, and especially not when they are bidding an aircraft that is:
1) in the same pre-merger base (ORD)

2) the replacement aircraft for the aircraft they are bidding from

3) an aircraft that was specifically ordered by pre-ISL S-UAL
I just think it's outrageous that ORD pilots would dare bid an aircraft based in ORD that was purchased by S-UAL.

That is because they are looking for a shorter commute to go see their Asian girlfriends.

You forgot to mention that they are flying L-UAL routes.

Some guys at LCAL think they invented the guppy and that no one can fly it except them and UAL never had a guppy until now (except for the last 30 years).

Notice none of them complained about the scab-a-thon of the last 3 years.

Thankfully a new Staller has emerged. Golly it's been a while.

Staller and his follow-on monikers haven't hijacked and destroyed a thread......has it been weeks, or months?

Guppy's suck. The lCAL pilots I fly with have flown many other aircraft and complain about it as much as I do. The only pilots I have met that like it are the young starry-eyed ex RJ instructors in the Puzzle Palace South Campus.

I actually had 3 of them start the sim brief with "It is not a guppy anymore, it is a real airplane. And they are all ETOPS!"

LOL Flame suit on.

Happy Thanksgiving

If you'd be so kind to reference my o.g. post on this topic...never once said that only lcal pilots can/could fly the guppy...it's just funny how some poke fun of it,compare it to a 757, etc...then after whining about it, jump all over it.
But seeing how today is yet another day of no reserve, I'll tangle a bit...by scab-a-thon, are you referring to that wicked, evil, satan breeding scab company "CAL", who hired the poor furloughed UAL pilots at like 100 bones or more an hour( in a sheety *** economy, mind you)?? This merger has brought out the best and yet the worst of some keyboard commands, but from an entertaining perpestive, it's glorious!
