Thanks to all; good info, and what I was looking for!
Unfortunately, it kind of confirms what I suspected: while I could hold decent seniority this year, with a fleet shrinking to almost half its current size, I wouldn't be senior very long.

I'm just trying to figure out which fleet would make the most sense for me when I get off mil-leave.
Your insight and wisdom is appreciated.[/QUOTE]
My best retirement is my active duty retirement and it comes with great medical. Stay on mil-leave is my counsel.

Cal retired their 767-200 fleet. All other retirements have been from the Ual side.
Here is the fleet count on the date the merger was announced. . .
Cal

Ual

I don't know what the latest count is, but the only planes that are planned to be kept from the UAL side are teh 767 DOM planes that have been converted to 2 class 767 international planes and the 757 PS planes to which one has been added. So in all the UAL fleet will be retired except for 28 planes all of which have winglets and half of which have speed tape on the PFD (Primary Flight Display). None of the planes to be retired have winglets.
Probably doesn't answer your question, but there it is . . .

When they put winglets on, they do 757 overwater, then put the PS interior in. (CO interior) The original PS planes were domestic only, and have been swapped out with the overwater planes. Interior I think seats 28/114.
Not enough seats to serve the Hawaii market. I'm not sure what is going on using the OW planes for PS, unless they are getting ready to move them across the Atlantic. Lower seating, they should be able to make it across with a lighter load.
Certainly don't need OW for PS--are we planning on abandoning the PS market entirely and move the 757's...?

Fleet Information:
o The 756 fleet will remain unchanged for most if not all of calendar 2014 (no reductions, possibly some increases see below)
41 757-200’s
21 757-300’s (all ETOPS now in case you slept through those bulletins)
16 767-400’s
o The 76T fleet is currently:
69 757-200’s
35 767-300’s
By the end of calendar 2014, it is expected that 37 757’s and 1 767will have been retired from this group
o Beginning in either late 2014 or (more likely) early 2015, the process will begin that will move 14 767’s and 15 757’s from the 76T fleet into the 756 fleet by completing some cockpit equipment modifications.
