Default SFO parking lot question

Regarding the SFO parking lot. What is the size restrictions of the parking lot? Is the parking structure still where we park?

Thanks.

It is a parking lot across the street from our old ops building.

If you are looking for the motor home commute home, there used to be quite a few in the lot. A couple of years ago, during the contract talks, management started cracking down on the lot. No motor homes, but that didn't really stop anyone. It can be done, but they do check that cars move with marks on the tires.

Physically, you can get one in and out. Don't know if the contract company that runs the lot will squawk about it or not.

Motor homes can be found and I know of one pilot who talked with the flight office advising them that his ONLY vehicle was a camper van/motorhome and he needed a place to park so he could go to work. His other transport was a Murdercycle and he could not ride that in the rain or carry his suitcase on it.
Parking lot is located just west of Garage G and across from building 575 which used to be our ops building but no longer.

I'm going to be based in IAH and having a class B in the SFO lot to visit family and do some camping. I will just be a hippie in a VW bus. I hope its not a problem to have two domicile parking passes?

Man, you're bringing back some OLD memories. Krudawg, refresh my memory about how things worked at SFO in the 80's. I remember that palm reader and turnstile thing and I remember ops being out there but that's about it. We used to ride a bus to the terminal right?

I was never based in SFO but used to fly in there a lot in the 727.

nopac;

When I think of the "old ops building" I'm thinking of the white building just outside of the turn style hand reader. I think that building was ops since the 70's or earlier! So I am very surprised we are back in that lot.

Unfortunately, I don't think you can get parking passes paid for by the company at 2 different domiciles. Section 21-H-2 says parking will only be covered for one location.

You may still be able to get a pass for both, but then I think you would end up having to pay for one of them.

I think I remember someone telling me its 40 bucks for a second domicile parking pass. I could be wrong. I don't have the hippie bus yet

There are a couple of smaller motorhomes in the lot. The kicker is that you have to vacate the lot every 2 weeks(or at least your pass does) or they will charge you a daily rate.
