Annual Vacation??
#61
So the recent blast mail from EWR CP states that if you have less than 14 days of vacation, you cannot bid in the primary or secondary bids. He referred to page 3 of the guide. So all newhires have to essentially wait for the scraps? Awesome!

(Re-read the the example in the guide starting on the bottom of page 3 and continuing onto page 4 very slowly.
)Not that it matters, new-hires will only receive the scraps anyway. It's just a fact of life at the bottom of a >12,000 pilot seniority list unfortunately.

CCS message. "Please check your 2016-2017 Maximum Vacation at CCS > Reports > Pilot Vacation Summary. This is the total number of vacation days you have for the next vacation year at this time. When the Election Cycle of the Annual Vacation Bid opens on January 11th, you can elect how many days up to this maximum you want awarded in the bid."

In CCS, go to the HELP tab. Select Vacation Bidding Guide. Everything is in a 19 page PDF. Expect vacation slots in January thru April. That has been my experience the past several years. September is also a common month for junior vacation awards.
