I thought quoting both posts would be a little excessive.

We are hired to fly airplanes, to get passengers safely to their destination, and to fly the contract. We have no effect on how well the company has performed in the future or the past. I just get tired of the back and forth about which company was better before the merger. It's pretty clear to me that management destroyed LUAL, Smisek was going to destroy Cal, and now he's destroying the combined UAL.

UAL is worst performing airline stock on 1-year basis. This rests on management/corporate obviously, not the hardworking line troops. AAL is #1, DAL #2.

Now only if we can get SOME of these LUAL types that want to live in the past and look down on everyone that is not LUAL to agree.

UAL's service has been crap for the whole 19 years I have been here. Our only strength is that our competitors were usually just as bad, on average.

CAL had a good product for about 4 out of the last 30 years, not much more to brag about.

Now, we suck together.

I have been waiting for better leadership my whole "career" here. Still waiting. I am glad I didn't hold my breath.... Smisek is just another empty suit in a long line of empty suits.

Drink more, post less.

Now if we can only get LCAL pilots from suing the pilot group that would be awesome.......

That suit isn't going anywhere.

Did you read the ALPA motion to dismiss and the response? There were 60 separate mentions of case law from the appellate to the Supreme Court level where the suit itself does not even meet the requirements to be heard. Like the Complainants failing to enjoin the company in the suit, even though the company was one of the parties of the ISL process. Essentially they are suing the wrong party. The company administers the ISL and agreed to implement it. They can't be forced to change it or stop using it because they aren't being sued.

I respect everyone's right to fairness under the law, but "I wanted to be higher on the ISL" isn't a valid reason to file a lawsuit. And there are plenty UAL 1996 hires and later that aren't thrilled with the results of the SLI but none of them sued to change it.

And if we could get the loser instructors from the LUAL training department to drop their lawsuit over the signing bonus so we could get our money.

So that there can be an intelligent discussion, how about you explaining the DTK instructors law suit as well as the LCAL SLI lawsuit.
