Alpa and the company have been working on a NPDM for several months. Howard said the time is nigh. We shall see.

The bumps should have been done the day after the SLI. Instead they have paid a bunch of UAL manpower to sit around with pay.

Since the merger, combined UAL has shrank slightly each year, in block hours flown. l-CAL side has seen lots of grown since the merger. Hence, every single pilot hired or recalled to the lCAL side has been to replace flying from l-UAL. How many have been hired and recalled? 1000? Not sure.

So now the brainiacs in Willis want to hire another 1000 in the next 18 months, even though they have to retrain 700-1000 from the l-UAL side. Brilliant. They can't train that many.

I think I will just go back to getting paid to not fly and not worry about it.
