So someone decides to post a picture of the retro CAL paint job airplane on the facebook page. The remainder of the comments to that post are from our UAL "brothers/sisters" blasting the poster and posting as many retro UAL paint as they can find.
REALLY.....GROW up people!

I AGREE - coming on APC and crying about it is MUCH more mature - grow up indeed.

Since it was Facebook, it was likely a ground worker, mechanic or maybe even a flight attendant posting the CAL pic and rightfully got an overwhelming response from the UAL side counterpart.
From the pilot side we have handled many of these issues! SLI, Contract, etc, exception being the kids and non-ALPA supporters.
The other groups have been in a continuous battle for their jobs. The company removing jobs on the UAL side while increasing the same jobs on the other side. Sure, the UAL side can apply for those jobs at new hire wages and conditions. The company is trying to force older/senior people out.
I understand their actions when they see friends and neighbors forced out of jobs and then have a clown post a picture representing the worst evil they've had in the career. Anybody thinking this is sending the wrong signal to the company needs to evaluate the fights and injustices the ground workers have been evolved in since day one. Every United pilot should be thankful for the L-UAL MEC actions to stop the same actions by Jeff with JP's help.

No double standardize at all. I don't know that it was posted to honor anything. Your group needs to be the victim - it supports a low self-esteem model lived under for years. We need to make sure this doesn't continue going forward and is not used by Jeff to motivate your side in the future.
CLE would have been closed anyway. The CAL model trying to compete with SW will lose ever time. Just like that model losing premium pax's over the North Atlantic and Pacific for the combined airline. In lean times DL and AA will win out. It's a poor model executed by poor management.

While I do not support Jeff as he is the manager that brought us this abomination of a merger, you only have yourself to blame for poor management. You have never had good management. You have hand picked CEO's, some the worst the aviation world has ever seen. Nobody wants to lead this place, all you people want to do is fight with each other and Management. We had good Management, they all left with Larry instead of coming here to fight with you.

Our side needs to be the victim?!? Lol you are something else. I know of nobody on the Cal side with low self esteem.
