OK I have a new resolution not to post after I've had some wine, but I can't resist . . .

I have traveled to and even lived on the "West Coast" for two years. I wouldn't live there if they paid me a million dollars. The culture on the West Coast is self-centered and beauty oriented. The culture on the East Coast is family centric and "God oriented". If you are an atheist and believe in living life to your personal maximum benefit then California is the place for you, but if you have any sense of community and desire to improve life for society at large then the East Coast is your home.

Now, FLAME ON

OK. What a load of crap.

Exhibit number 1. "Jersey Shore"

Joe, you're much smarter than this. Hasty generalizations? That's grade 8 or 9 English. Go pour yourself another. We already have Faux.

Wait...an atheist can't believe in a "sense of community and desire to improve life for society at large"? One has to be "God oriented" to be a good person? What god? Your god? The god of ISIS? YHWH? Allah? Just curious.

No libtards he's just saying that the east coast is more god oriented than the left coast. If you are an atheist maybe you should consider not moving out here is that so hard to understand!
Yes yes and yes to your questions.
Isis now your showing your ignorance. ***!

Lived in New Jersey my whole life and doubt I could leave, even with the high COL and everything. Such a diverse amount of scenery in such a small area. Easiest place in the world to fly by pilotage I think. You'll also learn what pizza is supposed to taste like. And a short train ride away is one of the world's greatest cities.

New Jersey has two distinct regions: north and south, with the divider being approximately I-195. North Jersey is a mixture of very wealthy suburbs, urban centers, and rural hills/mountains/forest. South Jersey (except the shore area) can have an Alabama feel. Some say there's also a distinct "central jersey", which is technically where I am.

I attached an image to help.

There is only one lifestyle question I need to ask about a state.

Can you or can you not leaglly buy alcohol, tobacco and firearms in the same store and use/carry all of those items without prosecution by local law enforcement?

Yes, It's still a good place to live.

I'm from the northeast and I'm visiting it at this moment.

Make sure you know what you are getting into.

I would need a very compelling reason to ever move back to this place.

I don't see it happening.

Stupidly overpriced and congested. Stay away.
