Exactly! Not only that but it's been explained here that it's childish and feminine to use nicknames for airplanes UNLESS you are military.

So straighten up.

Except that "Dreamliner" is painted on the side of all our 787s. So I'm guessing that is a "nickname". When I google Dreamliner I get 3,100,000 results, so apparently it is a widely used nickname.

Boeing uses the name "Dreamliner" in all its ads, as well as United. How childish!!

I wonder if Boeing will paint SCABCAB or SPARKY or THE MELTING POT on the 787 anytime soon? :D

Can't wait for the scabsanctuary fence to come tumbling down. Many of the scabs will be gone by then leaving all the scab converts to ponder their next safehaven. The only thing worse than a scab is a scab sympathizer. There are even children of scabs on that plane - it's a real love fest over there.

It's about time you learned the errors of your way.

Should be less than a year. Not sure that many of them are gonna go that quickly.

My sports coat was on back order. They send us "just enough to get you started"...the rest of the order...no idea when i will get it. But the hat did come in first.

Ditto. (Can't wait for the hat police on Oct. 15th.)

It looks like we'll be at delivery #23 by this time next year, not sure what the schedule will look like for November and December but that's about right. It should correspond to the epiphany that 747s are expensive with resulting drawdown and bumps, look for more fun!
