The latest Vacancy Bid awarded me DCA 756 from EWR 756. Since I don't require any training, the language I can find says I can be advanced at any time before April 2015. How much notice is typically granted before you're moved, and how is a pilot notified? Obviously there are some logistics involved (switching crashpads, moving a car, etc.).
What has been your experience with this situation?

Don't forget your transfer days you can request and get paid for. We did (we didn't know they even existed having never done a domicile change before), and missed the eligibility by about two weeks. Probably missed out on a thousand bucks or so of free money.

My wife was an EWR F/O on the Guppy who, via bid 14_11 awarded on 07/01/14, was awarded a domicile change to LAX with an effective date of November. She was informed in (if I remember right) late July or early August via a CCS message that she was being moved up to the September bidding period.

Applies to new hires too. Just email manpower planning and tell them which days you would like your base trade days to fall on, it's three days.

In CCS, 'Training' then 'My Training Schedule' was the most effective way for us to find her scheduled dates, rather than expecting/hoping some sort of message would be sent.

Echo that. My BAT training has been in "My Training Schedule" for at least a week and I've yet to see a message notifying me.
