Troll as hard as we do? Inconceivable!

Something interesting mentioned elsewhere and visible on the United Mainline Fleet webpage... another 11 787-10s with N numbers already assigned. Status says - "Estm Delivery 2024". Right around when those 350s are supposed to be arriving in force. Another sign that management has probably already decided...

Kirby and Attarian showed up for the standards meetings in DTK back in Sept. Both said that the fleet plan has only been announced through the next 5 years, but there is much more growth and more orders extending further beyond that through 2025 (so far)

FWIW - Kirby on our flight in August. Said with the exception of PS 757’s being parked (before it was public) all 767/757’s around for all least 10 more years as nothing to replace them for at least that time period. Stated specifically Hawain 767’s were growth not replacements. Said more 787 orders in small incriments (after 4 787’s ordered last summer but before the additional 9 ordered last announced).

Also said we were going to grow significantly and be number 1. Again time will tell. In the meantime no gives on Scope and my MEC/NC speaks for me.

Said the same to us about the 767s, that we have 3 coming from Hawaiian with no plans to retire/park any through 2025. I’d bet they’re waiting to see where the chips fall with the Boeing NMA/797, also slated for a 2025 launch (should Boeing decide to commit to the project)

That’s why I edited my post to state FWIW. All I can say is I specifically asked him the question and that was his answer. Time will tell.

As to your second paragraph, I’m in in complete agreement.

United also has another 13 787-10 coming 10 of which will be flying before summer and 13 more 787-9s. If those 11 'reported' 787-10s are real United would be headed for 12/38/25 (8/9/10s) for 75 787s.
