Default Message from DAL's Chairman.

So DAL is negotiating this year and from the video it looks like the priorities are:

1) Continue to tie compensation to profits.
2) Get a contract signed early.

and to do this the Chairman tells line pilots to do the following:

1) Wear your pin.
2) Back the PAC.
3) Talk to your reps
4) Attend a council meeting.

He says: "We can not do this on our own; pilots must participate."

Question:

How do you feel about tying compensation to profits?

What do you think should be the top 3 priorities in our next negotiation?

For me I am willing to accept profit sharing as a significant portion of my pay and my top priorities listed in order of importance would be, first, an on time contract, second, improved sick leave and, third, improvements in our Scope Clause.

Anyways, just wondering what others are thinking . . .

P.S. To the forum gurus, how do you get the video to post as a picture and not a link?

In my opinion I would like higher Guranteed rates then more pay tied to profit sharing. Profit ahareing is to easy to manipulate, keep it like it is and give me more guranteed money.

On time is a big priority.

1. Clean up the scheduling language. Its a mess and way to complicate. If you can figure it out it works great, but if you miss a sub section you get hosed.

2. Clean up the reserve language and get rid of loop holes. Basically that section currently says you will work when we say you will and there is nothing you can do about it.

3. NO RELEASE OF SCOPE LARGER THAN CURRENT BOOK. And start really working hard at setting rules for codeshare especially on international flights.

This is what a guy who will have 3.5 years on property at openers would like to see.

If I had their management, I'd be more inclined.

You have to use the (YOUTUBE)videoID(/YOUTUBE) command....

Except instead of () you use [].

Where videoID of your video is RQY4i5fDYMM

I can't actually show it that way because you won't see it, just the video looking like this.

i agree-- min 13-14 days off guarantee at 80 hrs for everyone
and get rid of the GD bid months ad make them regular months-- big deal so the pilots get a win in february-- deal with it. and way better profit sharing

Simple to achieve..
Min 5:15 pay per day.

But it's all in the details~
Question is.. what percentage of Lineholders get 13 days or less off a month currently?
