Default CCS Audit Trail

I'm on reserve. Pulled my schedule on CCS at 1815 Local PDT and no assignment on my schedule. Then I check my schedule at 2045 LCL and I've got an 0600 short call. Not really a logistical problem for me as I live in base but if I was a commuter, I'd be in a bind for sure. So to my point, how do I determine what time they assigned me the short call.

Is today your last day off before a RSV block? If so, then that is an illegal assignment. The earliest they can give you anything is 1000.
1. File a PDR (hotline) for further clarification
2. Don't answer your phone until you're on LSR at 0001. This all assumes that you're on a day off
3. F2 on Master Schedule to see audit; F7 to page fwd, F8 to page backward

Did you take a screenshot? Always take a screenshot. Every single time.

My habit is this:

1. I log in and take a screen shot

2. Immediately after that I will call them and verify the schedule "for the tapes." and then I let them know I will no longer be checking my schedule for the day or evening. Have a nice night.

Step 2 is over-kill, but this is what I say. Hi, this is captain Bob file no u878787 and I just logged in and checked my schedule for tomorrow. I notice it's after 1500 and I see me down as a LSR for tomorrow. Just checking in. How about you guys release me since it looks like everything is covered.

The funny thing is that if you call them to clarify now they have positive 2 way contact and might give you that really crappy trip with an 0700 push, hypothetically speaking.

If you check at 1800 and have nada on your last day off, is contractual thing to do to not answer till 0001? Got a 2115 call for a 1600 first day back short call.

Truth! It was the day before I was scheduled to be on RSV in EWR and I was on page 4 of the availability sheet. I called to see if they would release me. The scheduler said "I can't do that, but since I have you on the phone I'm going to need to put you on 2 am short call." I had to race to the airport to catch the last DEN-EWR commute of the day at 5pm. Got to the Crashpad at midnight for a 4 am call.

DON'T call or answer your phone on your day off!

If on your last day off before a reserve block, YES! X1000

Check master schedule at 1800, SCREENSHOT it, turn off phone/do not disturb/don't answer until midnight!!!

Scheds will go fishing after 1800 to see who answers their phone, if you do, they got ya! Don't be that guy!

The above assumes your schedule says LSR at 1800.
