Based on the CPIs in 2000 and 2015 a Guppy Captain would have to make $305 per hour today to make the same as we did in C2000 adjusted for inflation.

We would need a 50% raise to get us back to the same earning power, not to mention improving the work rules, raising the min guarantee back to 75 hours, and retroactively restoring the A-Plan.

Seems fair to me.

Jeff earned:

1. $35,069 a day.

2. Assuming a "Crew Duty Day" of 12 hours, $17,534 an hour.

3. $292 a minute.

4. $4.87 a second.

Good point, although the numbers could be framed a little differently. Take UAL's contract 2000 and the higher of the monthly caps, 83 IIRC;

996 hours credited a year. J-Lo makes 12.8/996 = $133,333 per credit hour.

Contract 2000 and the amendable date;

744CA = 355.82 Adjusted for inflation 444.90 7.41 a minute 12 cents a second.
732CA = 226.58 Adjusted for inflation 283.96 4.73 a minute almost 8 cents a minute.

He probably gets "Vacation override" too....

I'd say if we were a well operated company then he deserves the money.

I wouldn't use the term "earned".
