I have no doubt that if a DEN 76T base were to open back up 6 months later (Like the ORD 747) that C33 would be all over it. The IAH 737 displacements are simply right sizing the fleet/base. I expect we'll see more bumps in DEN as some of the CAs bid the Bus and Guppy, not to mention all the FOs bidding left seat on the Guppy.
I personally wish people would stop the Blue vs Black crap at this point. We're going to be beginning section 6 openers soon and we need to be one pilot group. Displacements happen, it sucks for those who are affected but it's a fact that everyone must learn to deal with if they make a career out of flying especially if they bid the very top end of what they can hold. Both sides are feeling the pain. It's time for everyone to accept the fact that the enemy is not each other, it's management.

Call any LEC and ask "What positions are open" and you are going to find vacancies in each base. In some bases there is a 100% chance you could be Chairman of a vacant LEC committee if you just made 1 phone call. We have 3 or 4 vacant LEC Committee positions in LAX alone.

Ha, I have done plenty in the past. It is obvious who is not going to get on, let alone lead a MEC committee. The LCAL types I know that are on committees tell me they are really left out of most of the important things the committee does and basically told to go color. Ignoring an obvious problem with a stop wining attitude is not going to help the unity problem in the post I was responding to.
