At Alaska and we often have multiple United/Continental Holdings pilots requesting a Jumpseat on this route. The good news is we can take unlimited JS riders and 2 in the cockpit on every airplane. Some captains have a problem with 2 however. I think we have 2 of those D bags.

So would a commute from SEA to somewhere else be a better option for a UAL new hire? I understand there may not be an option at first, but I didn't realize commuting to work was subjected to seniority rules too. Any particular aircraft have a better commuter schedule for a new hire coming from SEA?

If any DAL dudes read this, how many years until you could hold a line in SEA?

A few of the guys I have flown with started commuting to IAH. Sounds like that might be a little easier....pretty long commute though.

1) hop on the transfer from OAK to coliseum station. Its free about 5 min ride.
2) buy a card at coliseum station to SFO You can use debit/credit to buy ticket. It is about 10 dollars one way.
3) hop on any train heading toward DALY CITY (Green or Blue Line)
4) Transfer to the "T" line "yellow" at any station once across the bay. Balboa park is the last station to transfer.
5)Give it about an hour for full ride.

If during morning it will be full until Powell station. Then it thins out.
Thanks for the info!

No problem. Couple things I forgot real quick
1) If you use your debit/credit card it will want to charge 20.00 its just set up for that. Just look up to the right and there is a fare list TO where you want to go. Just find SFO and whatever the fare is just +/- using dollar and nickel to get to the desired fare. Hit Print ticket and boom you are all set.

2) when you transfer on the sfo side all you have to do is step off the train and right above you will be a monitor telling the time for the next sfo train. Same track just different train.
