Question, do you have to be activated in your new aircraft in order to base swap in that same aircraft. Awaiting training for another airplane, and want to move out west. I'm senior enough to hold them and junior guys were on this snapshot in front of me, just curious if I'm missing something.

Thanks!

Double commuting really sucks!! IAH is the only domecile where I only have to do one.

Amazing how quickly things change around here! Not long ago some on here were saying go A320 to get IAH and here is a snapshot with 34 unfilled Guppy FO spots and A320 just a couple post merger guys can even hold it! Goes to show it's all a crapshot!

Don't worry, the Long Range Planning Committee meets twice a day, so by next week we will be back on the displacement plan!!!!

No kidding! 787 taking everything in IAH, so the poor junior Guppy guys displace to the 787FO only for the plan to change 2 weeks after the displacement. The only constant is change!

Not sure why he is pimping his opinion of our history with SCABS.

Your first post in 2 years and this is what you come with? My point was that those scabs were never punished or held accountable for what they did and instead were rewarded by seniority at the expense of all else. Anyway, I'm out of this thread and back to the original topic. Sorry

777?!

And are there are "newer" guys actually gonna get it in EWR?!

Should be an interesting bid final....

Does anyone know what happens to my vacations if I bid up to another aircraft? My old lady is eating on my a$$ about not losing our vacation. I've read the contract but I am getting lost on 11-F-5, 11-F-6, and 11-G-1. Do I lose it all and get it paid out? Do I keep it? Or am I at the whim of "the company"? I'd prefer to keep what I have which is non-summer/spring break/holiday vacations.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

If training conflicts with the vacation, you lose it. You can rebid it month to month or get paid for it if you haven't used it by May 1st.

If training doesn't conflict with your current vacation, you keep it.

That's what I've been told, anyway.

I suspect some wild swings in what a pilot can ultimately hold on the final bid.
