I've heard that UAL was considering pulling out of Denver. Is there any truth to that? I know it's probably been discussed elsewhere, but my real question is this: who will snatch up all those unused gates? (If anyone)

Like anything else, most rumors have a grain of truth.
Not coincidently, UAL started making "noises" about DIA right about the time they were negotiating with Denver about the lease.
But now that UAL and Denver have come to terms UAL has extended the DIA lease to 2035 and announced the entire pilot training center is being consolidated there.
Apparently organized labor employee groups are not the only use of UAL's well tuned psyops.
