Default LGA hotels

Has anyone found a hotel in LGA that offers a discounted United rate? Seems as if everything in that area is at least $120 per night.

I don't know of any great hotel options at LGA. You can sometimes find a better hotel close to JFK, then take the $15 Airporter shuttle to LGA (it runs every 30 mins).

From years ago, the PanAm near LGA was a good bet. They had van service to/from both JFK and LGA. Price was well below the 120 mark. The only warning is avoid Friday and Saturdays if you need to sleep. It's a hangout for the locals to party then and the whole hotel vibrates from the live band. This is not current info but would be a good place to start.

Thanks for the help. It appears that it's now a homeless shelter that's infested with rats according to some articles I've read online.

I'm thankful for the additional "cross town pay" per diem of $95 for all LGA trips. That takes the sting out of having to get a room there, somewhat, at least.

Clarion at LGA was a decent hotel for about $100 a night. It was recently converted to a homeless shelter though so this hotel is no longer an option.
