If he sold out any segment of this pilot group, he needs to be shown the door. I will reserve judgement until I see the facts though.

No.

You don't give up all that experience for a deal that falls short. This is knee-jerk stupidity that gets posted after every failed deal.

Experience that brought us the TPA and LOA 25?. Like I said, if it fails, they should be shown the door.

He's already spinning whatever it is by saying this is what you asked for and it's industry leading. Good or bad, they own this one.

Sounds like what a BOD would say about a failing management team. We definitely can't get rid of them because they have the experience to get us out of this mess.

No worries. Let's hope it's a good deal for all of us

Something we all can agree on.

Who signed the current contract including LOA 25 and the reserve rules for L-UA?

Aviatorr 11-20-2015 03:32 PM

Our current reserve system sucks!

Agreed, so I hope they didn't make it worse

That's why I will wait till I see the facts before I make a determination. Funny how I get A call today though and was told by someone who should know that the reserve rules got worse today and then the AIP is announced. Could be all flame bait which is why I want the facts. Backwards in anything isn't acceptable though. Even for more planes and $...

I'm 100% with Paulie on this. I do not trust Heppner and I've been very disappointed with his leadership. He told me to my face just prior to the publishing of the TA that it was "industry leading." My Captain then asked him if full retro was part of the deal, to which Heppner replied "It's all there" as he held his hands far apart. Lets face it, it's got more holes than an onion sac. What a farce. He's more concerned with his own coronation than what the line pukes want. I'm all for seniority and signed up for this concept long ago. But I'm getting a bit weary of the MC always being a "top of the list guy' and him steering agreements to further fatten the currently corpulent.

The current CBA is a substandard and was ratified by a very splintered group. A big chunk of them were holding their nose and voting merely to get the train on ONE track. (Look at the current FA mess) We can do much better now, as most of us seem to be on the same page, or at least reading the same game show script.

They're flush and they need some help. Thats fine, but we shouldn't pay a cent for any of it. UA is on track to make a killing this year.

For me, there better be better language and relief in many QOL areas for it to even pass the sniff test. How many items have we had to fight for while upholding the current agreement? How many grievances have we won, yet they still choose to ignore? How many PDR's and pay claims have been filed? How many absurd SC's have been handed out?

I will read the entire thing and make my decision then. But I don't think that we need to rush anything. If we give them the relief they want now, our next contract will be pushed over the horizon. Meanwhile, we'll still have to deal with the crap imbued in this one.

If we shoot this down (unless its a clear slam dunk), they will STILL need relief. We get 3% in 6 weeks and they will still have a bunch of game changers which they want to launch into orbit. They bought em, we didn't. They should have planned for this problem. They manage, we fly right?

Jaundiced James.
