Not when you've got an MEC who has his sights on a senior management position! Thank you very much Paul Whitford.........

100% correct. And absolutely irrelevant to the current vote. Moving on....

Don't blame Whiteford. Blame the guys on the MEC who elected him.

As one of those who were twice furloughed, I don't think that it would have mattered who the leadership of the union was post-911. In order for the company to survive, United needed to furlough pilots. Where union leadership could have been better is in the realm of furlough mitigation.

On my second furlough, the union could have handled that much better with a furlough mitigation plan. There shouldn't have been nearly as many furloughs as there were.

To me, the very best furlough mitigation plan is to take back our outsourced regional flying. Put those 76 seaters on mainline property rather than outsource the flying to the lowest bidder. Need to furlough pilots? Not until all outsourced flying is terminated.

I disagree. Because if they furlough....now anyone hired before DOS of this TA, they have to take seats out of the RJs. just another piece to this billion dollar ++ windfall.

The old "Chicken or egg" scenario. At the time the MEC wanted to get rid of Dubo so instead of having a no carp taking in your face leader they selected a pile of management butt kissing, jello and pudding to replace him.
