What pilotgolfer said.
I did the math and figured that being on reserve on the 777 and holding a line on the 756 would be about a wash money-wise. But having a line would make my life a lot easier. Especially since I commute.
I bid reserve in November and December to get Thanksgiving and Christmas off, and while it wasn't too bad (and totally worth it since it actually worked), the short call shenanigans are irritating to say the least.
That's why I'm a NO voter.
Looks like I'll ride out the remainder of 76T on reserve as the flying gets choked off and the pool of available pilots dries up, but that's not the end of the world. I'm looking forward to moving over to the 756 so I can fly something other than LHR.

It's your vote. But voting NO will not change the SC issue. It will just get you a lot less money for sitting SC. Consider this....(from Insler's MEC campaign letter) "Should the pilots ratify the TA, we can and will, if I am elected, immediately begin fixing all of the unfinished business of the UPA". Our last contract became amendable Dec 2009. We signed the new one exactly 3 YEARS later. THREE YEARS. Your call.
Oh...sorry...thread drift...err V1604. How about the 20 DEN 737 FO vacancies? Wow. That will bring the FOs within 8 bodies of even with the CAs. Do I dare say no more displacements? sheet hot!! hang'n on.

There will be no winners either way with the TA.
