This deal was obviously DONE the day after it was announced. Anyone who spent any time on this or even the UALpilots forum - where the NAY vote was 49% - knew that it was going to be passed by a significant margin.

I've spent countless hours in cockpits with guys who know zero about our contract or how its been abused since the merger. They allow themselves to be bamboozled by the crew desk, the pay desk, etc etc. Membership participation, as it pertains to supporting the contract and your fellow pilots, means a hell of lot more than spending 2 minutes voting online.

We just lifted our skirt. Management now realizes that they blew it, and we probably could have been bought off for less. I suspect they won't forget that.

Congrats to all the yes voters.
Well, if people don't feel being abused, perhaps they are not; or it's not an abuse.
If some are too ignorant to familiarize themselves with the contract to better their lives, let them take an abuse; you can not make people happy by force; it's communism... otherwise it's free will, my friend.

To the 12% of NO voters (obviously some of the 9% didn't give a $h1t), it's obvious that you are in minority, and this vote showed how disengaged you guys are from the rest of the pilots here. However, you are the most vocal, and you remind me those fat and imbecilic bullies in high school; always trying to make others to do what they wanted, because they couldn't do it themselves; I think this will change soon, as people see more incentives of doing business different way then traditional (you know whose) way.

It's obvious that two groups here had different approach to flying business, but we see more and more that pilots from the west side, see more incentives to do business a new way. You can call for anything you want to improve the contract, but for most people, everything revolves around $, no matter how you spin it; it's all about $ , no some distance promise in "change we all can believe in", "make united great again", or "trust-Un-i_TED".
Company knows that $ incentives will make most pilots go extra mile, show up when staffing is low, and fly the segment when needed. Pilots like it, because they feel it in their packet, not some promise of better contact with restriction, so we can hire more and sit idle at home; no business can operate like that in the long run, eventually contracts like that disappear, and competitors with more flexible contracts have upper hand.
This vote shows that pilots are tired of waiting for ALPA Messiah or Prophet coming here and fixing it all in the next Sec 6 negotiation with "evil" corporate, pilots have spoken in a loud voice - hellelujah
Enjoy your new pay rise; however, those 12% NO voters should stay on the original pay scale to make a profound statement of their dissatisfaction with voting outcome.

Yes and the 79% will be our new victim class.

I think sled invited everybody over for a 3 ring pool party. He's coming out with his bromance for Heppner and wanted to celebrate.

Point to remember, JH helped bring us LOA 25 and later used the same pilots to get this TA passed. (ask him again how LOA 25 came about - he won't bash JP because they dealt it together) I don't think we can be proud of that. Plus, he did deals with management akin PW, JP and BS. This TA was decided before you voted - you just don't want to acknowledged it.

The United pilots have voted, now let's see how long it takes to regret their choice. The 9% tried to help you, let's see how well you do next contract. Sad lot!

No spin intented..actually the minority NO voters is smaller number than others have stated.

I voted Yes...as a 2172/1437 was tired of being Heppner's negotiation pawn.

Yes, as many have said they voted to end it. Primarily because Heppner used them as pawns as part of his negotiating strategy. JH should have demanded the elimination of LOA 25 and making those pilots whole as a condition for TA negotiations. Instead he choose to use them once again. What a legacy to be tied to the likes of PW, JP and BS. He made pilots vote to protect themselves - sad!

We should all look carefully at anything JH says or recommends - especially, when it comes to his recommendation for MEC positions.
