Not to mention the benefit of living near the training center for easy sim support pickups. That's easy money right there.
I've no desire to commute anywhere other than via my car. I don't care how much it pays. Definitely an option at UAL vs SWA, but by the time my kids are out of school I'll be in the left seat pulling $300k fairly easily...I'm not that greedy that I need more than that to consider commuting.

Different strokes for different folks....I'm glad we all have options now after the last 15 yrs.

Driving to work is definitely the key for sure. But for me there may come a day that flying 2 or even 3 legs a day NB domestically will get old. I see it with some Denver folks. Take a bid to SFO or LAX WB, do 2 or 3 trips a month, Hawaii, Austrailia, Tokyo, etc and done for the month. Just nice to have options IMHO.

Cheers!

Exactly, unfortunately depite getting something like 30-50 more NB's(737/Airbus) in the near term, we can't get enough of them to take back all the flying, yet. Seems like that's all we do out of Den on the Bus is old RJ flying. The pendulum is definitely swinging back in the right direction. Now if Delta would just hurry up and vote in their new contract. Snapup.....

No WB for UAL in DEN and better QOL at SWA is what caused me to cx my UAL interview. YMMV
But you can't sit home on reserve and get paid to sleep.

I can and I did. I spent RSV this summer mountain biking, hiking and climbing mountains. Easy to do when you're in the foothills and live 40 mi from the airport.

That's what I thought too. When I commuted I had a Fly pref and was used all but 1 day a mo usually. DEN has a lot of guys that pick up open time so when I got based there I switched to a Pass pref and didn't work 3-5 days a month on rsv. Spent an avg of 7 nights away from home every month on summer. It was awesome.
