I think the reason they didn't do the SLI first is the USair AWA merger.

I completely agree. The 3 party negotiations netted us a sub-standard agreement but it was preventable with a no vote. Not trying to beat a dead horse but we could have started the merger with the best language and highest pay rates out there and we clearly did not.

One for the history books as a lost opportunity.

Can you give us your list of contractual language improvements that you would require to vote yes on the next UPA?

Would love to but it will take me a while to put together and will be very lengthy.

A NO vote would have just lead to further 3 party negotiation. No point belaboring the topic. It's done. On to the next negotiation.

Give us your top five or ten off the top of your head.

Agree, but keep it fresh in your mind for next time.

Reserve (total re-write)
B fund to include Profit Sharing calculations
Leg by leg overs included in trip pay protection
Airport Alert removal or higher pay quotient
Scope
Vacation improvements

This is just the tip of the iceberg, IMO and there's way more where that came from. I'll pull up my notes and add to the list later.

Negotiations in public, like a couple airing their grievances at a party. Never a good idea.

It's not 'negotiating in public' if someone posts what's wrong [or was missed] in our current CBA.
IF they were to mention what they would be willing to give up.. well, then maybe you could state that the individual was starting to cross a line.

Then again- over 12000 pilots at United and less than 100 post on a regular basis. That is LESS THAN 1%!

As far as my list is concerned-
1) B76-3 pay is incorrect!
2) ANF is stated as 0230 - 0329! Incorrect!!
3) A day off should mean a day off. Should not matter if you are a reserve or lineholder. Global or Basic.
4) Field Standby?! Ok.. but it should cost something..
5) SickLeave.. 5hrs a month?!

Those are just 5 items. I have a few more. Notice I didn't mention what I would be willing to give up (or change)..

Always
